The Paintress is the final boss of Act II in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

Tactics

The Paintress and The Curatress have no weaknesses or resistances. The fight consists of three phases.

Phase I

During Phase I, the Expedition starts the fight against The Curatress.

Attacks

• Gradient Attack - Builds up a Gradient Attack, dealing Void damage to a single Character.
• Scatter Chroma - Summons an orb of Chroma that pulses for Void damage 5 times, applying Powerless to the Expedition .
• Void Meteors - Summons 7 meteors that are fired at a random Character, dealing Void damage and applying Stun if a Character is hit more than once.
• Chroma Waves - Throws 4 waves of Void damage at the Expedition and applies Defenceless.
• Rocks from the Monolith - Manipulates 3 Rocks of the Monolith and launches them at the expedition, dealing Earth damage.

Phase II

During Phase II, the Expedition fights against The Curatress and The Paintress.

Attacks

• Rip Reality - The Paintress fires 5 projectiles from outside of reality that strike the Expedition, dealing Void damage and applying a stack of Burn.
• Giant Brush of Light - The Curatress swings her brush at the Expedition 3 times, dealing Void damage.
• Air Assault - The Curatress flies up in the air to strike a character 5 times, dealing Void damage.
• Attack from Afar - The Curatress strikes a Character 3 times from a distance, dealing Void damage and restoring Health on each hit.
• Unleash - The Curatress strikes a Character 7 times in rapid succession, then strikes the Expedition once for Void damage.

Abilities

• Summon Weapon - The Curatress summons a large brush to fight with.
• Cursed Chroma - The Paintress raises its hand in the air, dripping Chroma on the Expedition, applying Cursed and Defenceless. Cursed can be extended by shooting the orbs that spawn on each of The Paintress's turns.

Phase III

The Paintress has been defeated, and The Curatress shows remorse for her actions.

• Heal: Heals a Character.
• Shield: Applies Shield to a Character.
